7 Days Wonders of Italy

7 Days – On this Tour you will experience first-hand some of the most iconic and world acclaimed destinations: Rome, Pompeii, the Amalfi Coast, Siena, Tuscany, Florence and Pisa.

Day 1 – Arriving in Rome
After your long journey, you will be welcomed by our driver who will be holding an identifying sign right outside the luggage claim. He will then escort you to your luxury vehicle, to transport you safely and comfortably to your hotel in the city.

Day 2 – Rome in a day – 8 hours
You will begin your Tour Package by exploring the “Eternal City”, which through over 2,800 years of existence houses the most impressive landmarks of the world. Your English Speaking driver, will make his way to the city center where you will experience first-hand thousands of years of history. From the Majestic Piazza Venezia to the time-defiant Coliseum and the Roman Forum to the beautiful squares like Piazza Navona or the Spanish Steps and the “Dolce Vita” reminisce of the Trevi Fountain. You will fall in love with the city with all its contrasts and chaotic charm. Then you will experience the Smallest Independent State in the world, that houses one of the richest art collection imaginable: The Vatican. While visiting the Museums you will stand in Awe under the frescoes of the Sistine Chapel and feel the overwhelming magnificence of Saint Peter’s Basilica. After the tour, your driver will then take you back to your hotel.

Important notice: St Peter’s Basilica might close for last minute ceremonies or mass. We will try to inform you as soon as we can but not always possible.

St. Peter’s Basilica now requires all visitors to pay 1.5 Euro cash for Earphones.

Day 3 – Day trip to Tivoli – 8 hours
On this Day you will enjoy the Roman countryside and visit two glorious UNESCO World heritage sites. After you are greeted by your English speaking driver at your hotel in the city, you will head to the Roman’s favorite summer retreat: Tivoli. Your first stop will be the archeological site of Emperor Hadrian’s imperial residence, where you will enjoy this monumental living complex of classical buildings created in the 2nd century A.D., and sample the finest architecture of the Roman world. In the afternoon you will arrive in Villa D’Este, the renaissance summer estate known for its exquisitely manicured gardens and magnificent concentration of fountains, nymphs, grottoes, plays of water and music. The Tivoli Gardens have been a source of inspiration for countless baroque gardens in Europe, and constitute a vivid example of the Renaissance culture at its most refined. After the tour your driver will take you back to your hotel in Rome.

*Entrances fees to Villa Hadrian and Villa D’Este are approximately 12 Euros each site per person. Tickets can be bought on location.

Please note that Villa D’Este is closed on Mondays!

Day 4 – Day trip to Pompeii and Sorrento – 12 hours
Your English speaking driver will be waiting for you at your hotel in Rome and will proceed to drive you through the picturesque region of Campania, where you will spend the day sightseeing and immersed in the legends of the ancient city of Pompeii. Under the morning sun, you will stroll down this incredible city, which was destroyed by the eruption of Mount Vesuvius on August 24, 79 ad. The city remained buried for almost 1,700 years and on this day you will walk on the same stones ancient romans walked, illustrated by the story told by your own Private Guide. Then you will head to the small town of Sorrento, which has been for over 2,000 years the destination of visitors from all over the world. You will enjoy the amazing views of the Bay of Naples, while you linger down the terraces and gardens perfumed with lemon and orange blossoms. After the tour your driver will take you back to your hotel in Rome.

Day 5 – Rome to Florence via Siena and Chianti – 10 hours
After your experience in Amalfi it is time to head north to Florence through the the rolling hills of Tuscany. Along your English speaking driver, you will make your way through the countryside to experience Italy before the renaissance: Siena. You will spend your morning discovering this medieval city and its gothic soul, wandering down Piazza del Campo in the center of this UNESCO World Heritage site. In the early afternoon you will adventure into the Chianti area, with its magnificent landscape and lavish vineyards to Florence in the late afternoon. Your driver will drop you off at your hotel in Florence.

Day 6 – Highlights of Florence and Pisa – 8 hours
On this day you will now start experiencing a different Era, the rebirth of Europe, the unparalleled awakening of art, literature, architecture and beauty in one city: Florence. Your English Speaking driver will greet you at your hotel and drive you to meet your Private Guide, with whom you will immerse yourself on a walking tour of the historic center. There, you will explore some of the highlights of the city such as Brunelleschi’s Duomo, the Accademia Gallery that houses Michelangelo’s David and Ponte Vecchio prior to lunch. Later, your driver will take you along the scenic route through the Tuscan countryside to the small town of Pisa, where you will be able to admire the iconic leaning ivory bell tower, which is actually an architectural mistake, an unfortunate miscalculation that resulted in one of the most recognizable images of Italy and also a Unesco World Heritage site. Here you will spend a part of your afternoon as well as on the Miracle’s square before going back to your hotel in Florence.

Day 7 – Return to Rome via Orvieto – 8 hours
Your English speaking driver will pick you up from your hotel in Florence, ready to take you through the Umbrian countryside to the beautiful Etruscan town of Orvieto, whose countryside is dotted with olive groves and wineries. Here you can explore the streets and squares, shop for local products, and spend a part of your day before going back to Rome.
