Your driver-guide will meet you at a pre-arranged location. The tour will start at Venice Square where the Victor Emanuel monument, called "the Wedding Cake", is located.

Your tour will begin with the great ancient sites within Rome: the Roman Forum (site of Caesar’s grave and Marc Antony’s famous speech), the Colosseum (also known as the Flavian Amphitheater), the Circus Maximus, the Capitoline Hill, Palatine Hill and the Baths of Caracalla (a feat of engineering not recreated until the 19th century!). We return to the center of Rome to visit the most famous of all ancient city temples, the Pantheon (a fully preserved Roman temple that is 200- years old). Walk through Piazza Navona, see the Spanish Steps and the Trevi Fountain (of course, you should toss a coin in to guarantee your return). We will stop for a traditional Italian Lunch with time for shopping if you wish. In the afternoon, your tour continues with a visit to Vatican City (the smallest country in the world, yet certainly one of the most influential), to explore the richest collection of art in the world: the Vatican Museums, the Sistine Chapel, and St. Peter's Basilica. At the completion of the tour, you will be driven back to your hotel.
