Positano, Wine Tasting and Pompeii
You will be welcomed in your hotel (either in Naples, Sorrento or Amalfi coast), by your English Speaking Driver you will make your way along the coast through overwhelming coastal views to the picturesque coastal village of Positano, one of the smallest but most famous villages of the Amalfi Coast. Positano, is built into a steep cliff overlooking the magnificent emerald sea. Here you will spend the duration of the morning exploring it’s narrow streets, before continuing the day to a vineyard at the foot of Mount Vesuvius to enjoy an amazing view of the bay of Naples and a guided visit in the vineyard with a light lunch in a beautiful terraced garden where you can taste the specialty of the area. During your lunch you can taste six different wines of Lacryma Christi among white, red and rosè and finish with a distilled grappa of apricot.
***** The cost of the wine tasting tour including the visit in the vineyard and lunch is Euro 35 per person (including drinks).
The day will continue to the archaeological site of Pompeii, you will stroll down this incredible city, which was destroyed by the eruption of Mount Vesuvius on August 24, 79 ad. The city remained buried for almost 1,700 years and on this day you will walk on the same stones ancient Romans walked and see the essence of the ancient Roman past. Here you will spend the duration of the afternoon before getting back to your hotel.
* We do highly recommend a private licensed guide for Pompeii.
** if you have been to Pompeii, you can choose to replace it with Herculaneum.
*** Pompeii and Herculaneum are partly wheelchair accessible.
**** You can get the tickets to sites on the spot. Euros 18 per person for Pompei and Euros 13 for Herculaneum.
Children and students up to age of 18 have a free entrance, an ID is necessary then.
All rates are payable in cash (Euros only) at the end of each service. Traveler’s checks are also accepted. We do not accept credit cards.
Services include pickup from and drop-off back at either your hotel or at your cruise ship in one of our luxury vehicles by an English-speaking driver.
Lunch, gratuities, and any entrance fees to attractions are not included. Also please note that we may change the order of the itinerary at our discretion.
